What is that 'popping' sound during your adjustment?

Many people are curious about the popping or cracking sound they hear during a chiropractic adjustment. Lots of our people enjoy this sound, but there are some that do not! 😮

Joint Cavitation or “popping” is just the formation of gas within a joint that is released with a fast high amplitude adjustment performed by a chiropractor, osteopath and physiotherapist.

Hearing the pop or crack during your adjustment doesn’t mean you will have better outcomes, there is no difference to how effective the adjustment was if there is also no pop. 😊 Silent 🔇adjustments can be just as effective as they still improve spinal function which is the goal of a chiropractic adjustment. 👍

Manual adjustments (adjustments by hand ✋) are just one way that chiropractors can improve spinal function, there are many other options our chiropractors can use to adjust which is why chiropractic is so effective for people of all ages and stages of life! 😄
