✨‘When is it okay to get adjusted again postpartum?’. ✨
Our answer is always - whenever you are comfortable to come in for an adjustment!😄
For some this is 6 weeks and once they have been given the go ahead from their primary health practitioner, and others come in as soon as a week post birth! 😊
During pregnancy we modify all our techniques so it is gentle and safe, postpartum we can do the same. Depending on your birth experience, we can do gentle treatment in the form of:
🌿An activator. This is an instrument that is a gentler alternative to hands.
🌿A drop piece (this is a special segment on the chiropractic table that drops down slightly as you’re lying on it, to deliver an adjustment).
🌿We can even just release muscles! Pain in the neck, shoulders and mid back are also very common complaints of new mums as you are holding a baby for hours and looking down at them all day! 👶
